The first half is over.

It had been a dramatic 2011. Health, relationship, new house etc

Mom is requesting a grandson. Hope my sister can fulfill her wish.

Working is becoming a routine job. I’m tired of performing a one man show.

The pathetic side is the managing level doesn’t even know what I am working on.

My manager requested me to come out with a list of my key achievements for the last 6 months. Hell yeah.

Working is an art of acting. Everyone have to cc everyone (at least your direct boss) to show that you are contributing. The performance valuation is ain’t about how good/efficient of you at work or how much you contributed to the organization. It is just about how pretty you can write in your emails.

If you have any interesting ideas to bring out, you better keep it to yourself. Like Barney said: To stay in the company, just act like you are working. If you really do something, that’s what get you fired.

That’s all about work. Now it’s just left the last move.

this is the life style i wanted when i was a teenage, work at a good company, have a lot of hang out mates, meeting friends at bars, hang out till at late nights/mornings, live in a single nice place, go on trip at overseas.

but I do forget the other part of life.

Undergo my last March Madness in NUS.

This is just mid of March, but I feel like it's already months from CNY celebration.
This is one of the most eventful months of mine; in fact, I hardly remember what I did yesterday as too many things are ongoing.

Going to my working life soon, I need to try out every possibility so that I won’t regret!

It’s now or never, I finally tried on something I desired long ago, wrote a useful application and joined a global competition.
Many are still struggling between start-up his own company or work for a well-known corporate.
I am kind of made up my mind, but I still want to use this empty period to try out other paths such that I won’t look back and regret.

Academic wise, I still haven started my FYP thesis which due end of the month, and a financial analysis project.
I tried to concentrate but I just can't.
Part of me is keep wanting to try out new things.
I was studying basic finance and bank management lately, and there are still many stuff need to prepare before I'm ready for the working environment.

Oh, and, RWS is definitely served its function to attract foreigner to visit Singapore.
I had 3 consecutive weeks such that friends from Msia come pay me/RWS a visit.

Love is an accelerator that moves you along towards success, should not be an obstacle that hold you back.

I hope this will be the right decision, just like the decision I made to come NUS, and just like the decision I made to EA.

My main motive of getting into banking industry is to earn more $$.
But given the circumstances that the salary they offered is not high, what should I choose?

Okay, lately I have been thinking that game programming is not "serious" programming.
What I made will just be an application that used by teenagers to pass time.
However, the process of developing a game is much more enjoyable.

I have totally no idea of what is an associate technology in bank.
As my sister asked, what are the future prospects?
Will it be too narrow as a programmer in bank?

People around is keep saying that work at bank is good,
it's secure and more rewarding.
Is it true? Based on who?

I have gave up my dream to be an actuary,
now I am on the way of giving up my dream as a game developer.

It is going to be hard, but I need a change on my career path.
Indeed, I need changes on myself too.
I REALLY need to improve my English,
I really need to learn about business etiquette,
I need to learn about banking and finance.

As usual, I would not put my fate to the hands of others, I will decide on who I want to be.

first of all, happy new year!!!
2009 was a turning point from the awful life at 08, school, friends, relationship, and health are resuming back to the way that I'm familiar with.
2010 started with bright signs, and it will be another significant year for me as I'm going to graduate this year and find my first permanent job.

Yesterday night went to rooftop garden @ Orchard Center...
It was awesome!!
A nice place to view Orchard Road from the top.
The decoration there is simple yet beautiful, you can only imagine it in dream.
Else, you should go there and feel it!
I made my new year wishes plus resolutions there, need to work hard to achieve them by the end of 2010.

Live the life that planned is not terrible at all.
Indeed, I enjoyed life style that under controlled.

I am going to stay at home/shop tonight with my family. I wasn't there for the past six or seven years. Most of my holidays was spending with my family this time. Have to treasure every opportunity I can have with my family. Started from May 2010, I will only have 14 leave days each year...

I have done my best for this semester, attended every single class, did every single tutorial and prepared before hand for every single lab....
although it came across with dramas (how i met your mother, heroes, born rich), games (torchlight, NBA2K9, SF4) and activities (...), it is considered as my most hardworking semester.
I had gave up some important things in my life for it, as an excuse for me to motivate myself.
this is kind of a mental sickness, to repeatedly broke something that seems perfect , I owe apologize to somebody that I hurt, sorry.
I just wish to have a good academic semester in my NUS life, other than enjoyable semesters that I think I already had.
By now, I can say I already felt satisfy for being work hard on this semester.
Even if the outcome is not a perfect one, I would thanks myself for being serious for at least once in my NUS life.

time to speak about my hall life..
i have a floormate, work hard at Fridays and Sundays...at least 3 times for 2 days every week...hall doors is not sound proof man...
i have another floormate, one side of his slippers stolen each week, and returned the week after...still finding who is the joker.
i have a blockmate, sit at the staircase every midnight to call her boy friend...scared me N times when i go refill water at night.

there is a RF at block E, bring his family to comm hall at 6 everyday, sit at the same table same chair.
my canteen uncle who start to cook for breakfast at 3 something every midnight, becoming my alarm clock warn me to sleep earlier.

every morning, we try to wake up about 9, take breads from canteen aunt, try to fill in HL milk to our stomach as full as possible, gossip about what happen in hall, then go back to sleep till 12.
every evening, we eat about 6 in comm hall, see RF bring his family come in, gossip again, try to fill in our stomach with unknown material mix with cordial drinks, then clear it with FRESH fruit.

when hungry during midnight, just call up your hallmate, sure got some are in sheares, tapau...although we got our so call supper in comm hall as well@@

anyway, times in temasek end soon..might miss her same as i miss pgp? who knows:p

btw...heard something big coming out tomorrow from BLIZZARD!!

Some people lost their way when they were aiming for another destination.
Some people don't know their destination but they found it on the way.

During 3 months internship, I learn a lot. My colleagues are who I wished to be. They know everything about technology. Yes, EVERYTHING!!! Just that what they know about everything is very brief. After working with them for a period, they really inspired me to dare to dream more.
Most of the knowledge that can be applied in workspace and reality is not those we can learn in lecture. My friends, I'm not suggesting you to skip lecture ya. In fact, most of the knowledge is free in the Internet waiting for you to learn.

Sometimes people ask me what does a programmer/computer architecture do. Well, we organize stuff. Programming is not just telling computer what to do in English. You need to organize part by part, line by line, integer by integer, just like your life.

Saw a friend's post the other day. She was wondering what's the purpose of a person's life. To be happy? Or to make others happy? Some say both. If so easy, how? Ask yourself truly deeply madly, if you need to hurt someone to get your happiness, will you do so?
